Fair Earth works closely with Chicago Fair Trade, a non-profit working to increase support for fair trade in the Chicago metropolitan area through education, advocacy, and targeted consumer campaigns.
A vital part of Chicago Fair Trade’s work is educating local youth about fair trade. From fair trade soccer games to fair trade fashion shows, youth are excited to learn about the people who produce the items they purchase!
To keep this program going, Chicago Fair Trade needs your help! Help us continue to make global connections with youth through programming with schools and youth clubs.
See our campaign video and contribute today! YOU can make a difference in the lives of youth here in Chicagoland and around the world.
Fair Earth is partnering with Madison-based fair trade retailer Change Boutique to produce and exhibit an apparel line designed by Textile and Apparel Design students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison during the Spring 2013 semester. A panel of judges will determine the winners of a semester-long design competition, giving attendees a first look at an exclusive line of apparel that will be handmade by artisans in Uganda and available for purchase in-store Spring 2014.
The event will take place at Change Boutique, at 1252 Williamson Street in Madison, WI, on Friday May 3, 2013 from 7-9pm. The event will feature drinks and hors d’eouvres and will showcase the design process and finished garments of participating student designers.
We hope to see you there!

We are excited to debut a series of videos about Fair Earth, featuring video footage by Holly Elzinga, photos by Denise Riesen at Riesen Photography, and produced by Katie Chen. The first video tells our company story and will introduce you to our mission and our unique product lines. The final three will introduce you to three of our artisans in Kenya - Jemima, a Maasai beader, and Alex and Antony, two of our metal workers. The stories of all three are so inspiring! We hope you enjoy!
