This very solid basket is woven into a pattern of geometric triangles by women in central Uganda. Bukedo (banana-leaf stalk) is cut into thin strips, dried, and bound over with banana-fiber and buso (raffia from the palm tree) to form a tight coil. Use as a fruit basket, bread basket, or a decorative piece.
